About Us

Physician Research Collaboration (PRC) is committed to enhancing patient treatment options for the future by participating in quality clinical research trials. PRC’s goal is to promote state-of-the-art therapeutics, ethical testing, and rigorously proven scientific methods using a network of dedicated physician partners and clinical coordinators. PRC is also committed to our clinical research trial sponsors to provide timely enrollment and accurate completion of every clinical trial, compliant with FDA regulations and ICH guidelines.

The Arthritis Center of Nebraska provides treatment programs specifically designed to meet the needs of patients with arthritis.

Company History

PRC was founded in 2006 from a 30 year private practice rheumatology research center to provide a turnkey approach and immediate profitability to other Physicians who desire to professionally conduct their own clinical research trials.  PRC combines the expertise of private practice physicians and established patient populations with PRC’s vast research experience to provide sponsors with repetitive success in study enrollment, quality participants, clean data and timely completion of all aspects of the clinical research process.

PRC has three partner owners:  Melvin A. Churchill, MD, Rick C. Chatwell, MD and Lisa M. Kastanek, RN, CCRC. Together they have over 90 cumulative years of clinical research experience, enrolled over 300 clinical trials, managed three routine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) audits and were found to be in compliance with the FDA’s Good Clinical Practice Guidelines on all three occasions.

PRC has provided research expertise to principal investigators in internal medicine, family practice and pediatrics giving these physicians the research tools necessary to be immediately successful at conducting clinical trials. PRC has provided physician investigators the ability to work with cutting edge scientific advances while providing patients an opportunity to participate in clinical trials that may offer new or better treatments while scientists collect data to search for cures. We are very proud to have participated in many exciting research opportunities that have resulted in the FDA approval of many currently marketed therapies for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, giant cell arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatic, vaccines, infant formula, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Down’s Syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diabetes, hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
